Biographie

Hi! I'm a PhD student studying the role of systemic inflammation in nerve injury (neuropathic) pain. I am interested in how general, low-level inflammation occurs in the body following an injury to a nerve, and how this type of inflammation may influence the progression of maintenance of chronic pain. Understanding this process would help us find new methods to help increase the effectiveness of pain treatments.
Outside of the lab, I like to try new restaurants and practice a Japanese martial art called naginata.
